Emarsys Design Elements

An important visual element of the Emarsys brand is the slash.
We have two types of slashes, overlaid and connected. They are not a decoration, so don’t place them randomly and abuse them.
They are an important part of the layout: they could support your headline, be a part of a picture (or be integrated with a photo) or be the background for your text if you “zoom” into them.

Here are guidelines for how to use the slashes correctly:

Type

Overlaid Slash

First type of Emarsys slash, based on our bug. There are three versions possible:

  • Shamrock + Shadow Shamrock
  • Periwinkle Blue + Shadow Periwinkle Blue
  • Lemon + Shadow Lemon

Connected Slash

Second type of Emarsys slash, based on our bug. There are three versions possible:

  • Shamrock + Shadow Shamrock
  • Periwinkle Blue + Shadow Periwinkle Blue
  • Lemon + Shadow Lemon

Guidelines

Angle + Grid

Emarsys slashes are built on a specific grid, based on our bug construction.
Emarsys slashes as well as the grid has a defined angle: 24°
Please always use the grid as reference to place the slashes into your layout and scale them by percentage.

Use the slash with the positive angle giving it the (western) reading direction.
Exception: if you use three slashes together, one could have the opposite direction. In the complexity/entirety it must be communicated positivity.

Size

The proportion of each slash must be:

  • Short side of the overlaid/connected angle 1/2 of the long side.
  • Min size: <2x height
  • Max size: <10x height
(Please get in touch with the Creative team if you need the grid)

Zoom into the slashes for greater appeal.

Consistency

Keep the same color in the foreground and preferably the logo’s sequence colors.
Keep the same perspective and same color type in the foreground.

Application

Usage with photos or three-dimensional use. In this case it might be possible use the slashes with the shadow colors in the foreground depending on the light in the photos or on the object.

There are three versions possible:

  • Shamrock + Shadow Shamrock
  • Periwinkle Blue + Shadow Periwinkle Blue
  • Lemon + Shadow Lemon

Don’ts

Don’t cross the slashes
Don’t display the slashes transparently
Don’t ever combine two different angles

Please keep in mind the combination of colors.

The Emarsys Pattern

The original Emarsys pattern is a decorative element which is based on the Emarsys logo. There are four different variations of this pattern. The colored version is following the basic logo rules in regards of background usage. Additionally the pattern is available as an outline version in all basic Emarsys corporate colors and as a white transparent version, which can be used on different colored backgrounds.

All four pattern variations are currently only allowed to be used for office or booth designs. Other area of use have to be discussed with the Creative team.
